Chris Kavouklis

Chris M. Kavouklis, Esquire


Chris Kavouklis is a Florida board certified civil trial attorney and has earned an AV-Pre-Eminent rating from his peers for the highest level of professional excellence. Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 1987 and later received his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Fla. Prior to the full-time practice of law, Chris co-founded and operated a Florida Licensed Dental HMO, providing dental benefits to over 100,000 Floridians throughout the state.

Chris has handled cases ranging from complex commercial litigation involving multi-million dollar claims, including a recent case in excess of $15 million, and catastrophic personal injury cases. Chris has obtained multiple multi-million dollar verdicts in both auto and various other types of personal injury cases.
Chris is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. Chris has served as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the Florida Justice Association. In 2006, Chris received AFTL's Silver Eagle Award and Victory-Valor-Vanguard Award. In 2007, Chris received the Florida Justice Association's Golden Eagle award.

Chris has received two four-year appointments by the Governor's office to serve as a Board Member of the Hillsborough County's Civil Service Board and was elected to serve as the Board's Chairman.

Chris is also a member of the Trial Lawyer's section of the Hillsborough County Bar, the Florida Bar and handles civil litigation matters. Although his practice areas include personal injury, wrongful death, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect and administrative law, Chris handles a substantial amount of litigation related to premises liability and breach of security.
