M. Lance Holden, Esquire


M. Lance Holden graduated with high honors from the University of Florida in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He then received his Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1983. Lance is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States Middle District Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Claims Court.
He is recognized as a board-certified Civil Trial Lawyer by the Florida Bar and has achieved an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell (its highest rating and a rating by one's peers). Lance is an Eagle sponsor for the Florida Justice Association (FJA formerly known as the Academy of Trial Lawyers). He has served as past chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and past vice-chair of the 10th Judicial Circuit Bench Bar Committee. Lance is currently a chair of the Florida Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and is a member of Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, Lakeland Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.

Lance has achieved multimillion dollar verdicts in Florida, including a fiercely contested trial in July 2007 for which the jury awarded in excess of $43 million. He is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Lance is involved in numerous community activities as well as a member of the Praise Band at Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven. He is a past president of the Lake Region Rotary Club; past vice-president of Polk Community College Alumni Association; former board member of the Girls Club of Winter Haven; and has coached multiple youth sports teams in Polk County.

Lance's primary areas of practice are wrongful death, personal injury, and professional malpractice.
